Cape Island Theatre Company to Present “Carl’s Kris Kringle”

By Sponsored Content

COLD SPRING – In December, the Cape Island Theatre Company will be turning the second floor of the Old Grange Restaurant by Tony Clark at Historic Cold Spring Village into Possum Grove, North Carolina, a quirky little southern town that is about to experience an unlikely Christmas miracle… and you and your family can go there for a donation to help Volunteers in Medicine of Cape May County serve six more patients in 2013!
“Carl’s Kris Kringle,” written and produced by Ray Crew, tells the story of a dreamer who buys a run-down radio station in a small Southern town only to find that he and his pregnant wife are flat broke a week before Christmas. To solve his problems, he needs a man who hates Christmas to play Santa. What happens next will make you laugh and warm your heart.
“Carl’s Kris Kringle” will accept donations at each performance to help Volunteers in Medicine of Cape May County.
Volunteers in Medicine is a free medical clinic serving low income residents of Cape May County with no access to Health Insurance. VIM has served more than 4,000 individuals with more than 24,000 office visits, all at no charge to the patient.
Even the most basic healthcare is often out of reach for the thousands of Cape May County residents without health insurance. Each day, Volunteers in Medicine of Cape May County finds a way to help. It costs VIM $495 to care for a one patient for a year. It’s Cape Island Theatre Company’s goal to raise that amount at each of the six performances of “Carl’s Kris Kringle.”
“Carl’s Kris Kringle” will be presented at the Old Grange Restaurant by Tony Clark, 735 Seashore Road, Cape May (Cold Spring), on Saturdays and Sundays at 3:00 p.m. from Dec. 1 through 16. Doors open at 2:30 pm Seating is limited and available on a first come-first serve basis. For information please call the Cape Island Theatre Company, 609-408-6595 or Historic Cold Spring Village, 609-408-6595.
