COLD SPRING — Step back in time for a lovely autumn evening celebrating on Sat., Nov. 6.
The Friends of Historic Cold Spring Village will host the annual Candlelight Walk from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Luminaries will line the paths and guide visitors to several of the Village’s restored historic buildings where wine, beer and a variety of light fare will be served. HCSV Education Director Jim Stephens will present demonstrations and an interpretation of Coxe Hall Cottage, the Village’s oldest building c. 1691.
Old-fashioned pulled pork, fresh bread other popular items will be featured in several buildings. Enjoy fireside desserts, live musical entertainment and hot beverages at the Village Pavilion. A special holiday sale at the Country Store (excludes Village artisan wares) will feature heritage wares and a wide variety of historical toys.
HCSV Executive Director Anne Salvatore delights in showcasing the Village at this particular event: “Experiencing the fall foliage of the Village, lit at dusk, is truly a memorable evening,” Salvatore says.
“This is a tradition we hope to continue for years to come.” Tickets are $25 and must be purchased in advance; a portion of the proceeds benefits the HCSV Education Fund.
