The 15th Original North Wildwood Italian American Festival will take place this weekend, June 26 to 28 on Olde New Jersey Ave., North Wildwood, sponsored by the North Wildwood Knights of Columbus Council 2572.
The event offers three nights of great entertainment and scrumptious food and “La Bella Vita” where smiles for miles await you by the shore.
On June 26, the festival begins at 6 p.m. with a procession honoring St. Padre Pio and St. Anthony and a special performance by the Margaret Mace Elementary School band.
At 7:15 p.m., “Emil Stuccio & The Classics” will entertain with their hits “Till Then” and “PS I Love You.” “Bel Duetto,” performing Italian classic songs, starts at 9 p.m.
Saturday, the music starts at 2 p.m. with “Ravioli Shanker,” followed by radio personality Lou Costello. At 4:30 p.m. it’s “Bandstand” warming up the crowd for the evening performances of “Tru” at 7 p.m. and Philly’s own “The Business” closing the night at 9 p.m.
On Sunday, a special Mass will be celebrated at St. Ann Church, 2901 Atlantic Ave., Wildwood, at 11 a.m. with an appearance by the Philadelphia Archdiocesan Boys’ Choir.
Back on Olde New Jersey Avenue by noon, Keith Hickman will entertain followed by a 2 p.m. performance by the award winning Archdiocese of Philadelphia Boys’ Choir. Michael LeCompt will conclude the festival with his concert starting at 3:30 p.m.
The festival is a strong draw for locals and visitors.
