AVALON – Make plans to spend Thursday nights in Avalon this summer as the popular Thursdays on Dune returns for a second year of family fun. Hosted by the Avalon Chamber of Commerce, 7 Mile Business Community Association and the Borough of Avalon, the event features activities for kids from 5:30-7 p.m. before a concert from 7-8:30 p.m.
Vacationers and residents alike are invited to take a stroll through the heart of Avalon every Thursday from July 2 to Aug. 20 to enjoy live music, activities and giveaways for the entire family – all for free.
The fun will be spread throughout the Avalon shopping district this year. Each week, there will be a different activity on a different block, including face painting, balloon twisting, magicians, stilt walkers, and so much more. Concerts featuring local favorites are scheduled each week at Veterans Plaza, located at 21st and Dune Drive. Avalon’s shopping district will feature extended store hours so customers can pop in and out of the shops while enjoying the activities throughout the evening.
