Avalon Recreation to Hold Easter Egg Hunt April 4

AVALON — The Avalon Department of Recreation will officially kick off the spring season with the traditional Avalon Easter Egg Hunt. This year’s event will be held on April 4, at 10:00 a.m. in Avalon. The Avalon Easter Egg Hunt is free and open to the public.
“The Avalon Easter Egg Hunt has been a tradition enjoyed for generations in our community”, said Avalon Recreation Director Chuck McDonnell. “We are excited to welcome hundreds of families who enjoy Avalon back for Easter weekend and invite new friends to visit us and watch their children participate in this fun, family event”.
The Avalon Easter Egg Hunt is held on the athletic fields between 8th and 12th streets along Ocean and Dune drives. Children between the ages of 1-4 years will gather at the 8th Street field; ages 5-6 years will gather at the 10th Street field; and ages 7-10 years will gather at the 12th Street field. Pre-registration is not required. Children will search and scramble for Easter eggs which contain treats and prizes.
The Avalon Easter Egg Hunt will be held rain or shine.
