Avalon Library Announces Ninth Season of Symphony by the Sea

AVALON – The Bay-Atlantic Symphony, the Borough of Avalon, and the Avalon Free Public Library are pleased to announce the 2015 Symphony by the Sea summer concert series in Avalon.
The orchestra will present Isn’t It Romantic, with a selection by Antonin Dvorak, featuring cellist Christine Lamprea, and music by Nicolai Rimsky-Korsakov July 18 at 7 p.m. Aug. 15 at 7 p.m., the symphony will present Classically Viennese, which will include music by Franz Joseph Haydn and three Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart selections, with hornist Jonathan Clark featured in Horn Concerto No. 2. Tickets are free of charge and available to the general public at the library two weeks prior to each performance. Seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
The Avalon Library received 5 stars in Library Journal’s national rating of public libraries, based on statistical performance data collected by the Institute of Museum and Library Services. The Avalon Library has received the 5-Star designation seven times since 2009. The library is located at 235 32nd Street and provides free and open access to first class collections, services and programs that inspire, inform and enrich the community.
