AVALON – The 7 Mile Beach boutiques and businesses are packing up their Diane Von Furstenberg dresses, their Tory Burch shoes and their Jonathan Adler place settings, and heading to 21st Street, where the annual Shop-A-Holics event will return March 1, 2, and 3, with designers, deals and drinks at The Princeton and The Whitebrier.
Shop-A-Holics, hosted by the 7MBCA (7 Mile Business Community Association), is the largest winter shopping event in the area, with 35 participating stores. Those businesses, including Tiger Lily, Armadillo, Global Pursuit and the Free Shop, will be offering high-end designer clothing, shoes, accessories, home goods and more, at deep discounts.
“Shop-A-Holics is a great variety of local stores and merchandise, and visitors to the event really enjoy being able to grab something for such great discounts,” says event organizer Kathy Wierzbicki, a member of the 7MBCA board. “It’s also a great way for local store owners to clear their fall and winter inventory, and introduce their new spring and summer lines.”
The Princeton Bar & Grill and The Whitebrier return with delicious cocktails to assist in the shopping frenzy. Shop-A-Holics starts March 1 from 6 to 9 p.m. The $5 cover charge that night will be donated to the Cape May County Animal and Adoption Center. On Sat., 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sun., 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., participants are asked to bring a donation of some kind, monetary or otherwise, to benefit the shelter.
