Just get an iPad? Do you need a little help getting started? Please join us for an introduction to how it all works. We will go over the basics needed to get you going. Memoir Writing- Write Your Own Memories
Have you longed to tell the stories of your life but can’t imagine where to begin or end? Do you believe your life has not been exciting enough to record and leave for posterity? Has your life been unusual and fascinating but you lack confidence as a writer? This workshop will provide a solution for any excuse that may have been holding you back. You will be taught the “snapshot method” of memoir writing and the necessity of choosing the “scope” of your story. You will learn to weave the history of your times into your personal story and be introduced to the techniques in the fiction writers’ arsenal and learn to use them to make your non-fiction sparkle. The only requirements for this workshop are basic writing skills and lots of memories.

Meet with others interested in reviewing Italian learned in the Italian class and those interested in learning more about Italian art, music ,architecture, history, lifestyles.

An introduction to iMovie. Instructor will show how to use existing video, shoot your own using the iPad or use still images to create a video. Computer Class- Planning with Pinterest
With Pinterest, you can create and share pinboards on any subject you can imagine. In this class for beginners, you will build your own pinboard that can focus on whatever you choose. The instructor also will give insight on how Pinterest can be used beyond just finding “pretty pictures” and how you turn Pinterest into a tool to organize your life. Class instructor Jack Miller will be providing tips and feedback on poetry, memoirs, short stories, articles, and books. Class participants will also have the opportunity to record their stories as podcasts for listeners to enjoy on our website.

iPad Workshop- Google Docs and Drive
Google offers a great “free” alternative to word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation creation. It is all in the cloud, which means available from any device. Google drive will also be used (free download). A Google account is required but is also free. Be sure you have your Apple ID and password. (Required prior to class) In-Person Class. Windows 8 Hands-On: Open Forum
