Author Lecture with Gina Miani
Book Title: Avalon- Avalon is a little town on the Jersey Shore named for an ancient land in the tales of King Arthur. It is a story of love and loss, of betrayal and forgiveness, mirroring the famous legend. Mariah, brought back to the town after a long absence in order to save her family’s crumbling Victorian, is forced to confront her past and unravel a mystery that has haunted her since she left in 1978.

Building a Classroom Website on Weebly-This class will look at free and easy-to-use online website design program Weebly. Participants can start their own site that they can finish at home once the class is over. Kids Art Workshop- Art at the Library
Ages 5 to 9
Ms. Cunningham will read and show pictures from the children’s book “Blackout” by John Rocco, talk about the illustrations, and discuss the story. She will play a shadow game with participants and talk about how to make a picture out of silhouettes. The children will then create their own summer scene using black paper and oil pastels.

Bay-Atlantic Symphony Concert
The orchestra will present Go the Distance, with music by Verdi, Borodin, Sibelius, and Brahms Violin Concerto performed by Caroline Goulding. Tickets will be available to the general public two weeks prior to performance.

PC Users Group
Meet with other personal computer users to share problems and solutions. Held on the third Monday of every month.

Apple Computer Class
This class will use Apple’s Keynote on iCloud to build a presentation by exploring how to create an engaging slideshow that will help you reach your audience and emphasize your message. Selecting colors, images, and fonts will also be covered.
*The iPhone and iPad also have the Keynote App, but not all features may be available on these devices. Participants are welcome to bring their own devices. PC Computer Class
Windows 8 offers a host of programs to help keep yourself productive and organized. This class will teach the basics on the most popular like Word 2013, OneNote, Evernote, and Mobilligy. Registration is required by calling 609-967-7155 or stopping by the circulation desk.
