Computer Class- Introduction to Pinterest
Holidays and Winter Planning – Pinterest is an online bulletin board for anyone to use who downloads the “Pin It” button to their toolbar. If you haven’t heard of this holiday party planning mecca, let me introduce you to it. Pinterest is easy to use and saves a whole lot of time normally spent searching around for that special link or bookmark you’ve lost track of since you created it. Art Workshop- Felt Holiday Ornaments
Participants will use wool roving (long bundles of wool fibers that are produced during the process of making spun yarn from wool) and learn the technique of hand-needle felting to create one-of-a-kind felted holiday ornaments. LibFlix Plus:
An overview of how to use the library’s four major download platforms for popular movies, TV shows, music, magazines, eBooks, and eAudiobooks.
Learn about hoopla for downloadable movies, TV shows, music and audiobooks, Overdrive for eBooks and eAudiobooks, Flipster for popular magazines and Freegal for downloadable music, all using only your library card! The first hour will be a demonstration of all four platforms with a half-hour Q&A session at the end. Registration is required by calling 609-967-7155 or stopping by the circulation desk.

Smart Phones Workshop
Bring your smart phone to this users group and the instructor will help you learn how to use its features. The instructors will review new app releases, hardware and accessories. Cathy Zane will be lecturing and answering questions on iPhones from 5:45 to 6:45 p.m. and Sean Farrell will handle Android & Windows phones from 6:45 to 7:45 p.m.

In this demo class we will explore all things Google. First we take a detailed look at Google Chrome, a free web browser. Next we will go on to how you an access files anywhere through secure cloud storage and file backup your photos, videos, files and more with Google Drive. Finally we will explore how to use Google for more focused and efficient web searching. This class is for Apple and PC users. The Avalon Library will be closed for Christmas Day. We will reopen at 9 a.m. Dec. 26.
