Avalon Civic Club Fall Luncheon/Card Party to Benefit Local Food Banks

The Avalon Civic Club will hold its annual Card/Game Party and Luncheon on Monday, September 29 at the Avalon Community Center. Doors will open at 11:30 and a catered lunch will be served at 12. The cost is $20 per person. Tickets can be ordered by calling Betsey Mooney at 609-796-5371. There will be door prizes, baskets and a 50/50 lottery. All receipts will be donated to local food banks.
The Avalon Civic Club was founded before World War II to improve the quality of life in Avalon and Cape May County. The current major beneficiaries of its fundraising are local food banks, needy families, and the borough’s surf chair program. The club meets monthly from April through October at the Avalon Community Center. Meetings are scheduled on the fourth Monday at 12:30. All are welcome.
