Avalon Announces ‘Thursdays on Dune’ Lineup

By Press Release

AVALON – Avalon is the place to be on Thursday evenings this summer. A new event, Thursdays On Dune, is being presented by the Avalon Chamber of Commerce, the Borough of Avalon and the 7 Mile Business Community Association. Vacationers and residents are invited to take a stroll through the heart of Avalon every Thursday from July 3 to Aug. 14 and enjoy live music, activities and giveaways for the entire family – all for free.
Thursdays On Dune concerts are scheduled each week from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Veterans Plaza, located at 21st and Dune Drive. Children’s activities, including face painting, balloon artists, character visits and more, are scheduled to coincide with the entertainment. Avalon’s shopping district will feature extended store hours so customers can pop in and out of the shops while enjoying the activities throughout the evening.
“We’re looking forward to this each week,” said Lydia Borek, owner of Dunehouse, LLC. “I think it’s a great incentive to bring people into town, and we’re excited.”
