COURT HOUSE — Atlantic Cape Community College will celebrate Black History Month at its three campuses, with various fun, educational activities throughout February. All activities are free and open to the public.
At the Walter Edge Theater, the American Conference on Diversity: Business & Community Impact of Health Disparities Due to Race & Ethnicity, will be held 8 a.m.-1 p.m., Wed., Feb. 16. Atlantic Cape’s Heath Professions Institute will offer free health screenings.
A documentary, “The Negro Soldier” will be simulcast to the WACC student center, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Fri., Feb. 17.
The Cape May County Campus will host two events in the cafeteria/atrium, including: the Barbara Yates Jazz Ensemble, 11:15 a.m.-12:45 p.m., Tues., Feb. 15; and an open mic event, “Embracing Diversity: Paving the Path Together,” 2-4 p.m., Wed., Feb. 16.
All three campuses will host the African-American Marketplace, with vendors selling African-American art, books, jewelry and other collectibles, throughout the month. The hours are 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Feb. 16, at the Cape May County Campus, 341 Court House-South Dennis Road.
