Artists to Exhibit Interpretations of “An English House”

OCEAN CITY — Nearly 30 artists from the Southern New Jersey and Philadelphia area will exhibit their interpretations of “An English Country House” to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the classic Dauphne du Maurier novel “Rebecca.”
The artists will takes visitors to the Ocean City Arts Center back to “Manderley,” the English Country House featured in the book, or perhaps to the more current version of Manderley seen in the popular PBS series “Downton Abbey.”
The paintings, in the artists’ favorite medium, will be on display June 1 through June 30 and will be for sale. A “Meet the Artists” reception will be held Fri., June 14, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and is open to the public.
The Ocean City Arts Center is located at 1735 Simpson Ave. Hours of operation are 9 am to 9 pm, Monday through Friday, and 9 am to 3 pm on Saturday. For further information call 609-399-7628 or visit www.oceancityartscenter.org.
