‘Art on Asbury’ Announces Free Movie Series

The Ocean City Fine Arts League announces upcoming free movies at the Ocean City Library.
March 4, 2014 – “Capote” (2005) – The creation of the book “In Cold Blood” and the impact the writing and research would have on its author, Truman Capote, is explored in this drama based on a true story.

April 1, 2014 – “Mediterraneo” (1991) – This film is Gabriele Salvatores’ antiwar story set during World War II on a seemingly deserted island in the middle of the Aegean Sea. (86 minutes)
May 6, 2014 – “Music of the Heart” (1999) – Meryl Streep stars in this inspiring drama about a teacher who helps change the lives of her students through Music. (124 minutes)
June 10, 2014 – “A Prairie Home Companion” (2006) – Acclaimed filmmaker Robert Altman brings National Public Radio stalwart Garrison Keillor’s long-running radio program to vivid life on the big screen in a backstage fable centering on the final performance of a fictionalized version of his variety show.
