AVALON – APAC opens the summer season on June 1 with “Blackthorn”, the Philadelphia based popular group whose original sounds focused on the harmonies of their Irish roots. Known as “the premiere Irish band in Pennsylvania”, Blackthorn also draws record crowds in New Jersey, New York and Delaware. Celebrating more than 20 years at the forefront of the Philadelphia music scene this year, Blackthorn has evolved as a “different” kind of Irish band, paying homage to the influences of their past, more contemporary peppered with rock-n-roll sounds. The show will be at 7:30 p.m. – doors open at 6:30 p.m. Bring your own food and beverages. The price is $20 per person. Advance ticket sales/table reservations will be at Avalon Community Hall, 30th & Avalon Ave at the Beach
