Do not let the first day of spring flurries slow you down! There is plenty happening at the Shore this weekend to get you in the warmer mindset. Check out some of the highlights here.
Sherlock Holmes Weekend
March 20 to March 22
Where: Cape May
Sherlock Holmes Weekend: New Mystery for 2015! Join Sherlock Holmes and his partner, Dr. Watson as they work the clues to solve the mystery, “Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Silver Fox” — a weekend of mystery and intrigue, Fri. through Sun., March 20-22. Get into the spirit of things by donning Victorian attire and stalk the gas lit streets in search of clues; compete for the grand prize and other valuable gifts as you attempt to solve the mystery.
Tour of the Emlen Physick Estate
March 20 at 2 PM
Where: Emlen Physick Estate 1048 Washington Street, Cape May
Learn about Victorian architecture and local history while helping your neighbors in need during three days in March with free tours of the 1879 Emlen Physick Estate, 1048 Washington St.
These free tours are being offered by the Friends of the Physick Estate, an affinity group of the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts & Humanities (MAC), on Fridays, March 6, 13 and 20 at 2 p.m., in exchange for a small donation of items that will benefit the Cape May Community Food Closet.
Family Movie Night
March 20 from 6-8 PM
Where: Cape May Court House Library 30 West Mechanic Street, Cape May Court House
Kids, ages 6-12, and their families are invited to watch this month’s featured film on our big screen with surround sound! Watch “Big Hero 6”, enjoy snacks and drinks, and relax for free at your library! This month’s film is rated PG.
Cape May Wine Trail
March 21 from 12-5 PM
Where: The Mad Batter 19 Jackson Street, Cape May
Spend the afternoon visiting Cape May County’s wineries and sampling the unique flavors of each. First enjoy lunch at the ever-popular The Mad Batter restaurant and then take the trolley shuttle to the Natali Vineyards, Hawk Haven Vineyard & Winery and the new Willow Creek Winery, where you’ll learn about viniculture and visit the tasting rooms.
Spring Bridal Fair
March 22 from 12-4 PM
Where: Wildwoods Convention Center 4501 Boardwalk, Wildwood
Noon until 4 p.m. in the Oceanfront Exhibit Hall at the Wildwoods Convention Center. Brides have the opportunity to meet face to face with wedding professionals to find everything possible to create a dream wedding! All registered brides are eligible to win a 5-day, 4-night all-inclusive honeymoon at the Hotel Riu Palace Peninsula located in the heart of Cancun, Mexico courtesy of Berman Travel (airfare not included). FREE admission, FREE prize drawings, FREE gift for pre-registered brides!
