Sea Isle City Girls Weekend

Each spring and autumn, bargain-conscious ladies gather in Sea Isle City for “Girls Weekend,” hosted by the Sea Isle City Chamber of Commerce and Revitalization. 2015 Spring Girls Weekend will take place Fri. to Sun., April 17-19, when discounts and special offers will be available at restaurants, boutiques, salons and other businesses throughout town. It’s an event no savvy-minded shopper will want to miss. Participating businesses will be easy to identify, thanks to brightly colored “Girls Weekend” flags flying near their front doors. Earth Day Celebration and 5K Run
April 18 from 8:30 AM to 4 PM
Where: Cape May County Park and Zoo 707 North Route 9, Cape May Court House
Come join us for some fun! The 5K Earth Day Race and 1 Mile Fun Run. Certificates will be awarded for the top three finishers in each age group in both male and female divisions. T-shirts will also be handed out to the first 150 participants. The pre-registration donation of $15, or $20 the day of the race, will benefit the Cape May County Park and Zoo Trust Fund. In addition to the race, live music, children’s storytime, inflatable obstacle course & slide, an interactive drum circle, hands-on educational exhibits, an environmental magic show, food and crafts are all on the agenda.
Beach Plum Farm Spring Festival
April 18 from 11 AM to 5 PM
Where: Beach Plum Farm 140 Stevens Street, West Cape May
Bring the whole family down to Beach Plum Farm for our second annual Spring Festival! This year, the festival will take place on Saturdays April 18th, April 25th, and May 2nd from 11:00am – 5:00pm. Come and feast on roast lamb with farm fresh sides and sip on some local beer from Cape May Brewery. Don’t forget to pick up a signature Mason jar sweet tea while you’re here, and check out our piglets, chickens, honey bees and new ducks! You will even get the chance to meet “Blue the Pig!” Beach Plum Farm’s Spring Festival is a day full of family fun activities: hop on a hayride, go on a scavenger hunt through the farm, learn how to plant a flower in your own painted flower pot, and roast delicious s’more. Plus, each day will present a new hands-on lesson about the farm for our “Farm to Kids” program.”
LCMR High School Jazz Ensemble and Jazz Choir Performance
April 19 from 3 to 4:30 PM
Where: First Presbyterian Church of Cape May 500 Hughes Street, Cape May
Returning for the fourth year, we welcome back the Lower Cape May Regional High School Jazz Ensemble under the direction of John Drechen and The High School Jazz Choir under the direction of Sandra Beane-Fox. These are both very talented and entertaining groups. Come see the future musicians light up our stage.
Sunday Night at the Movies – “Schindler’s List”
April 19 from 7 to 8:30 PM
Where: The Branches, N. 2nd St & E. Vermont Ave., Rio Grande
Enjoy Sunday Night at the Movies April 19 at The Branches at 7 p.m. to see “Schindler’s List.” There is no charge for the movie and the evening is open to everyone. Movie goers can bring snacks and non-alcoholic beverages and enjoy a discussion after the movie.
