COURT HOUSE – Scrapbooking enthusiasts are invited to the Cape May County 4-H Livestock Program’s third annual Scrapbooking – Card Making Crop on Nov. 1-3, 2013. The weekend-long event will be held at the Lockwood 4-H Youth Center in Cape May Court House.
Scrapbook enthusiasts may register for one day or all weekend. Registration fees are $45.00 for Saturday, $35.00 for Sunday, or all weekend for $70.00. Registration includes three meals on Saturday, two meals on Sunday, snacks, desserts and drinks.
New this year, participants may set up Friday night after 5:00 p.m. and start scrapping at no charge. Participants must provide their own food and drink that evening. Scrappers are also invited to bring a camper and stay in the 4-H fairgrounds’ dry camping area for an additional $35.00.
Participants will receive four feet of scrapping space, access to a tool table and a chance at fabulous door prizes. Scrapbooking vendors “Make and Takes” and a yard sale table for unwanted scrapbooking treasures will also be available.
Saturday’s crop runs from 9:00 a.m. to midnight. On Sunday, the event resumes at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 6:00 p.m. Organizers invite the scrapbooking public to visit the vendor floor from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
All proceeds from the crop will benefit the Cape May County 4-H Livestock Program, according to 4-H Livestock Committee Chair Betsy Barry. “The scrapbooking event is the livestock program’s only fundraiser. It is also an important community outreach program for us. We really appreciate all of the donors and participants who support our 4-H livestock youth through this event.”
