STONE HARBOR – Opening at the William Ris Gallery on Saturday, August 6th, will be the anticipated 3rd annual Stan Sperlak one-man show.
This body of work titled Daytime/Nighttime At the Jersey Shore will be introduced during an evening with the artist in attendance. The show will highlight the contrast between day and night, light and dark with Sperlak’s signature attention to the sky and its many personalities. A reception with light refreshments will commence at 5PM.
Mr. Sperlak is a prominent local artist who receives national and international recognition. His pastel paintings are considered fine in interpretation and mood capturing the essence of the Southern Jersey landscape. Sperlak’s reputation as a fine artist continues in his role as teacher and mentor. While his focus is on creating he enjoys also the experience of guiding his students in the studio.and on location. Sperlak takes these classes on the road as he sponsors trips to Colorado, Maine, New Zealand, Scotland, and Ireland. His following includes collectors, educators, and scholars.
