Cape May’s 2014-15 Designer Show House “Celebrating Holidays”: Local and regional designers exhibit their creativity and talent in presenting a dozen design spaces at “The Ocean Victorian,” 25 Ocean Street, Cape May, each showcasing a favorite holiday. The Show House will be open to the public through June 14, 2015 with self-guided, guided and combination tours available; hours vary. Lunch packages with the Carriage House Café & Tearoom at the Physick Estate, and dinner packages with popular Cape May restaurants, are available on select dates. From the pages of the book of the same name, Wilson’s daughter, Janice Wilson Stridick, brings alive this beloved painter’s vision of Cape May’s dynamic period, when it was growing to become a national treasure – a premier historic, cultural and natural resources destination. Shakespeare at the Estate “Comedy of Errors”: New in 2015! One of Shakespeare’s earliest and most vibrant comedies, “Comedy of Errors,” is a zany, madcap romp of mistaken identities. Take two pairs of identical twins, a jealous wife and her love-struck sister, a greedy merchant, a father whose head will be chopped off at sunset, a dim-witted courtesan, a stolen necklace, one angry nun, a greasy kitchen wench and an exorcist. Lighthouse Challenge of New Jersey Weekend: New Jersey Lighthouses, museums and life saving stations host a “Lighthouse Challenge of New Jersey” weekend on Sat., Oct. 17 and Sun., Oct. 18. The public is invited (and challenged) to visit all participating lighthouses over the weekend and help raise funds for continued lighthouse preservation. The lighthouses participating in the Challenge encourage the public to take advantage of this special weekend to financially support and preserve the maritime history of our state.
