CAPE MAY – The Singer-Songwriter of Cape May will feature 17 local bars and restaurants as hosts to 175 musical performances on March 30 & 31. Musical acts and artists from as far away as Adelaide, Australia and Maxéville, France will showcase their new music during the 5th annual singer-songwriter weekend that also features two days of music business panels, clinics, workshops, mentoring and keynotes at Congress Hall and the Harrison Conference Center.
The SS Cape May showcase venues include: Aleathea’s Restaurant@ The Inn of Cape May, Cabanas Beach Bar and Grill, Carney’s, Copper Fish Restaurant, Corinthian Yacht Club Of Cape May, C-View Inn, Elaine’s, Jackson Mountain Cafe, Lucky Bones Backwater Grille, Marq’s Pub @ Marquis de Lafayette, Martini Beach, Merion Inn, Pilot House, SeaSalt @ Ocean Club Hotel, The Mad Batter, Ugly Mug and the Brown Room, Boiler Room and Grand Ballroom of Congress Hall.
Over 125 showcases feature solo artists playing 40 minute sets and rock, reggae, blues, americana, indie, pop and r & b bands are featured at the Boiler Room, Carney’s, Cabana’s, Marq’s Pub & Ugly Mug. Approximately 55 performances are from New Jersey artists including the keynoters and featured performers Todd Sheaffer of Railroad Earth from Stillwater and Asbury Park’s Christine Martucci.
