CAPE MAY — Today’s hottest indie films are exclusively at New Jersey’s favorite Film Festival. Here are just a few short film selections from this year’s festival:
Special Guest: Greg Henry, emmy-nominated filmmaker, joins the guest list. Henry began his career with Academy Award winning documentarian Charles Guggenheim before moving to New York to work with journalist Bill Moyers.
He spent five years with Moyers including a year as a producer on the weekly series NOW. He has since continued to produce films and series for PBS, The History Channel, Discovery, and major broadcasters.
Invited Guest: Sopranos star Vincent Pastore has been invited to the festival. His short film, “Alienated,” will be screened. It features mob encounters of a different kind.
Wake: A poignant and uplifting story of loss and honor. A New Jersey premiere.
Bowling Blind: The true story of blind bowlers’ journey to a national tournament. A South Jersey premiere.
Mnemosyne Rising: A deep space pilot experiences unusual flashbacks when he learns he’s being sent back to Earth. A New Jersey premiere.
Weekend passes are available online and start at just $45. Day passes and tickets start at $10 and will be available at the Chalfonte right before the Friday night opening reception, Oct. 22.
