KANE, MARY B. Mary B. Kane, 66, of North Wildwood, passed away on December 22, 2023. Born at Mercy Hospital in Sea Isle City, she was raised in North Wildwood and attended St. Ann School and Wildwood Catholic High School. Mary continued her education at Immaculata College and later Bowling Green University. Many people will remember Mary (Ms. Kane) as the friendly teacher who was always available to any student, parent, colleague, friend, or stranger to lend a hand. While she taught many subjects throughout her career, her passion was the french language. Mary was a proud member of the Wildwood Catholic community, teaching at the school for over thirty years. She shared her love and joy of travel with her students by organizing an annual educational trip to Europe. She kept a very busy schedule attending many diverse events and fundraisers to support her current and former students. Mary was also a devoted member of Brendan Borek High Tides Memorial Fund, an organization established in memory of her student to aid families and patients of pediatric cancer in Cape May and Atlantic Counties. Above all, she strove to live a life that reminded others of the good that can be found in everyone and everything. Predeceased by her parents, Mary and Harry, sister and brother-in-law, Suzanne and Robert Plum, she is survived by her siblings: Barbara (Robert) Asselta of St Augustine, FL; Daniel (Kathleen) of Sicklerville; and Matthew (Denise) of Corbin City; nephews and nieces: Nick (Stacy), Erin (Kelly), Jessica (Eric), Anna, Daniel, Dominic, Anthony, and Malcolm; great-niece Alice Francis; and many family members and friends. Mary's family appreciates all those who offered their time, care, and support during her illness, especially her Wildwood Catholic family and the staff of Hope Community Cancer Center.
