COURT HOUSE – A Cape May County grand jury handed up eight indictments July 23.
Alexander J. Davis faces a four-count indictment including second-degree aggravated assault. The remaining three counts are all in the third degree, for assault by auto, knowingly leaving the scene of an accident that resulted in serious bodily injury and endangering an injured victim.
Patrick R. Konawel was indicted for third-degree resisting arrest, third-degree possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose and fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon. The weapon in question was a power drill.
Maria C. Smith was named in a three-count indictment with two counts for second-degree endangering the welfare of a child. The remaining count was for fourth-degree aggravated assault in which she caused serious injury while driving under the influence.
Roger J. Hanson was indicted for third-degree burglary after illegally entering a Chrysler 300 in Lower Township in May.
Kristofer A. Laud faces a third-degree count for attempted endangerment of a child, a 12-year-old male with whom Laud attempted sexual conduct in Ocean City.
Ryan J. Barrett was indicted for making a false public alarm in Ocean City on July 6.
Tamara L. Herbert was indicted for third-degree bail jumping when she failed to appear at a hearing on charges of third-degree resisting arrest.
Rustem Yhlasov was named in a two-count indictment for attempted theft by deception in Ocean City and conspiracy with an unknown individual.
