Readers are reminded that not only are all individuals listed below presumed innocent unless proven guilty, but there may also be multiple individuals who share the same name, even in the same town.
COURT HOUSE – A Cape May County grand jury handed up 17 indictments Feb. 27.
The abbreviation CDS below stands for controlled dangerous substance.
Meghan A. Gleba was indicted on two counts of bail jumping, one third and one fourth degree, after failing to show for hearings related to a charge of shoplifting in the fourth degree and a charge of possession of a CDS in the third degree.
Michael J. Gleba and Meghan A. Gleba jointly face two counts of third-degree possession of a CDS, clonazepam and fentanyl. They also jointly face a count of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child.
Jennifer Cruz was also indicted for fourth-degree bail jumping after failing to appear at Superior Court in connection with an indictment for third-degree possession of a CDS.
Michael Morales adds to those indicted for third-degree bail jumping. Morales failed to appear for a hearing on charges of second-degree possession of a CDS with intent to distribute.
Perry Hardin was named in a three-count indictment for third-degree stalking and two counts of fourth-degree contempt. Hardin violated a final restraining order and a pretrial release order. Hardin is now lodged at the Cape May County Correctional Center.
Rochelle Eldredge, Jorge M. Hernandez-Gomez, and Joseph M. Pierce were individually indicted for one count of third-degree possession of a CDS. The drugs in question were fentanyl and buprenorphine.
Howard M. Pendleton was indicted on one count of fourth-degree criminal mischief.
Devionne Graves faces a count of fourth-degree operating a motor vehicle during second license suspension.
Angel M. Carasquillo also faces a count of fourth-degree operating a motor vehicle during second license suspension.
William North was indicted on two counts of attempted burglary in the third degree and two fourth-degree counts for criminal mischief and obstructing the administration of law.
Joseph T. McCourt faces a single count of fourth-degree criminal sexual contact related to an incident in Wildwood Crest in August 2023.
Jonathan A. Arthur was indicted on a third-degree count for failure to make lawful disposition.
Tyler T. Mills faces two counts of aggravated assault, one in the third degree and one in the second degree, with both counts related to a domestic violence incident.
Nancy L. Rodriguez faces two counts of aggravated assault, one in the third degree and one in the second degree, with both counts related to a domestic violence incident. In addition the indictment contained a third count for possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, third degree. The weapon was a knife.
Jamal Matthews and Tyrone R. Brown were together named in a 16-count indictment. The two face eight second degree counts for possession with intent to distribute, conspiracy, two counts of possession with intent within 500 feet of public property, two counts of unlawful possession of a weapon and two counts of possession of a weapon while committing a CDS crime. The indictment contained five third-degree counts with two for possession of a CDS and two for possession with intent within 1,000 feet of a school, and one additional count for possession with intent to distribute. The final three counts are in the fourth degree for possession with intent to distribute drug paraphernalia and two counts of possession of a prohibited weapon. The drugs in question were methamphetamine and cocaine. The weapons included an assault firearm, a 9mm handgun and large-capacity magazines.
