Indictments Filed Feb. 25

Readers are reminded that not only are all individuals listed below presumed innocent unless proven guilty, but there may also be multiple individuals who share the same name, even in the same town.

COURT HOUSE – A Cape May County grand jury handed up 10 indictments Feb. 25. 

The abbreviation CDS below stands for controlled dangerous substance.  

A “certain person” charge can be brought against individuals whose previous convictions bar them from having weapons. 

Dennis Wyatt, Jr. faces a six-count indictment, including two counts of third-degree and two counts of fourth-degree possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes. The weapons in question were a knife and a golf club. The indictment also contains a second-degree count for aggravated assault and a fourth-degree count for certain person. Wyatt had been convicted in 2023 of aggravated assault.

Camerino Romero-Diaz was named in a two-count indictment for endangering another and criminal mischief. Both counts are in the third degree. The criminal mischief resulted in damage valued at over $2,000.

Daniel F. Blose was indicted on a single count of terroristic threats. Blose threatened to kill someone in Wildwood in January, per the indictment.

Brian R. Ratchford faces a single count of third-degree possession of a CDS, cocaine.

Kathleen A. Gonzalez faces two fourth-degree counts for aggravated assault on a Cape May police officer and throwing bodily fluids.

Timothy Bauer was named in a three-count indictment with two third-degree counts for possession of a weapon for unlawful means and aggravated assault, along with a fourth-degree count for unlawful possession of a weapon, a flashlight.

Abraham Perez-Alavez was indicted for making terroristic threats and possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, both in the third degree, along with fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon. The weapon was a box cutter.

Carly W. Singley was named in a single-count indictment for fourth-degree false information to law enforcement.

Sam Beatty faces second-degree and fourth-degree counts for unlawful possession of a weapon. The two weapons are a .22 caliber revolver and bear spray.

Luis O. Perez-Torres was indicted for third-degree possession of a CDS, cocaine.
