HUDANICH, JAMES N.

HUDANICH, JAMES N. James Nicholas Hudanich passed away March 19, 2024 at home in the arms of his loving wife, Nancy. Born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey on March 20, 1942 to the late Rose Marie (Mazza) and Nicholas Hudanich, he spent his early life in Woodbridge, NJ and started working as soon as he could ride a bicycle to deliver newspapers. Upon graduating from Woodbridge High School, he went to The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. where he met Nancy Viscuso who became his wife in July of 1965. Jim lived a full life marked by dedication to his family and hard work for all he met. Affectionately known as Hootee to his friends, his career started with Chevron Oil Company and a move to Connecticut where Cara was born and he attended Bridgeport University study-ing for his Masters Degree. Coaxed by his late Uncle Bill Patten, Jim moved the family to Holmdel, NJ to work in the family business. He served on the Holmdel Board of Education, was instrumental in building the new Holmdel High School that housed a planetarium for the students and was active in the NJ Jaycees (New Jersey Junior Chamber) and Pop Warner. His next career step was at 3M as a divisional leader working with static elim-inators and new technologies. He found his true passion in Real Estate first in Monmouth County and then in Cape May County as a Realtor Salesperson/Broker for the past 54 years. Continuing his community dedication, he served as President of the Avalon Lions Club, Commodore of the Avalon Yacht Club, Deputy Coordinator for Emergency Management in Avalon and supported many local charity organizations. When asked what his proudest achievement was, Jim quickly said marrying Nancy and his two children Cara and Ron. He was a devoted husband, and father to his two children Cara Tozour (Tom), Dr. Ron (Lori) and his six grand-children Alexis, Ryan, Mia, Nicholas, Sophia and Isabella. Services will be Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, NJ with 1pm visitation, 2pm prayer service.
