HAYES, RUSSELL W.
Russell W. Hayes, 77 of Cape May Court House, NJ passed away June 6, 2024 at Cape Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family. He was a resident of Cape May Court House for over 50 years. Russell was a Mechanical Engineer for many years at Johnson Matthey. During his time with the Scouts, he was a Scoutmaster and Commissioner. He received his Eagle Scout Rank, Order of The Arrow, and many other awards.
He is preceded in death by his mother Alfia, father Rutherford, brothers Robert and Gary, and grandson Brian.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Kathleen (formerly Aubin); children: Jeffrey (Rebecca) Hayes, Kristen (Robert) Butler and Lauren (Donald) Hearon; grandchildren: Michael Krueger, Zachary (Emily) Hearon, Daniel Krueger, Dylan Krueger, and Erica Hearon; brothers Bruce (Toni) Hayes and Richard (Deloris) Hayes; sister Patricia (Paul) Williams; along with many nieces and nephews.
Services will be Monday, June 17, 2024 at Our Lady of The Angels Church, 35 East Mechanic Street, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210. Viewing will be 10 to 11:15 a.m. Mass will begin at 11:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Russell's name to The Boy Scouts of America: Garden State Council or your choice of Animal Rescue Shelter.
