Obituary

GRUNLOCK, ROBERT

GRUNDLOCK, ROBERT "BOB" RUSSEL Robert "Bob" Russel Grundlock (68) was born to Robert Richard and Marjorie Grundlock (Henshal) on July 3,1955 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He passed away in his home in Ocean View, NJ on April 8, 2024, after a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife of more than 30 years, Mary Jo, sons Robert (Andrea) and Joseph (Rachel), and stepchildren CJ (Bradley), Dominique (Trevor), and Dominick as well as his grandchildren Luke, Jadon, Finn, Bentley, Leland, Aidan, Piper, and Corbin and his siblings Marjorie (Charles) Howard, Charles Grundlock, and Robin (Edward) Soldyn. Bob could fix anything. He was an accomplished electrician, sign maker, and mobile home technician as he began learning the trades with his father at a young age. He worked many jobs over the years and would tell stories about his childhood press route and shoe shining, his days on the steel pier, and time driving a cab in Atlantic City. From neon signs to custom additions and roofs, he always put forth the finest quality work. He shared his love and dedication to his craft with all of his children as they accompanied him to job sites over the years, each taking away valuable life skills as they worked alongside him. His truck was well known in the region as he worked throughout the RV parks of Cape May and Atlantic Counties and stopped at WaWa for his daily coffee as he served the community for over 40 years. When he wasn't working, Bob loved to travel. He took his wife and children on countless road trips across the country and never shied away from an adventure as he shared his enthusiasm for good pizza, rollercoasters, lighthouses, and music. Whether whistling Under the Boardwalk or singing along with Frankie Valli's falsetto, he always had music in his heart. Bob loved the ocean as he frequented many cruises and owned several boats over the years. Services will be held on Saturday, April 20th, 2024. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 10AM until time of service at 11AM at the Langley Loveland Funeral 2315 Route 50 Tuckahoe NJ 08250.
