GAGNON, ROBERT ROLAND JR. Robert Roland Gagnon Jr June 18, 1966-July 5, 2023. Robert lost his battle with lung cancer in the loving company of his devoted grandmother, Dorothy Waltermire, his cousin Joseph Sicinski and his aunt Karen Waltermire Stafford. Robert grew up in East Greenbush, New York where he enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, gardening, and sports. His home was always filled with music, as he loved classic rock bands and concerts. He had many jobs throughout his life. He was most proud of his position as a stagehand on the comedy show, Saturday Night Live. It was his joy to work under the mentorship of his longtime friend, Joe Riley. His love of the ocean and of his grandmother, led him to relocate to the Cape May area, where he lived for the past seven years. Robert is survived by his grandmother Dorothy Waltermire, His father Robert R. Gagnon, Sr., his sister Diane Gagnon and her children, Nicholas, Anna and Christopher. He was predeceased by his mother, Suzanne Nash Gagnon. Funeral mass will be held at St John Neuman, 680 Town Bank Road, North Cape May on Tuesday, July 25th at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, his family requests that donations be made in his name to The Branches Outreach in Rio Grande, New Jersey.
