FULFORD, DOUGLAS P.

FULFORD, DOUGLAS P. Douglas P. Fulford, 58, a lifetime resident of Cape May County, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, NJ. Doug began working at a young age in a field he loved, which was Septic installations and repairs. He then went on to become the founder and owner of Doug Septic Systems for the past 42 years. He had an impeccable work ethic, that was recognized throughout the community. His smile was both infectious and contagious, he would light up a room. He was larger than life and he touched the hearts of everyone he met. Anyone that knew him, knew he had a heart of gold and a selfless nature. If you knew him, you loved him. He was the hardest working man and would shovel with the best of them. Doug also shared the gift of life by being an organ and tissue donor. The white flag of organ donations flew over Cooper University Hospital in his honor. Doug is predeceased by his father Philip Fulford and his mother Jean Nickerson Goodman. He is survived by his loving wife Barbara Cresse Fulford of 33 years. His son Jonathan Fulford, step children James Dahlen, Christine Dahlan and Nicole Michaelis. He is also survived by 10 grand-children, James, Morgan and her daughter, Myla, Joseph "Joey", Brielle, Windsor, Hanna, Amelia, Kylie and Rosie. He is also survived by his brothers Randy Goodman and his wife Carrie of Cape May Court House, Joe Fulford and his wife Linda of Cape May Court House, Mark Stiefel and his wife Darlene of Erma, and Philip Stiefel and his wife Pat of Virginia. Doug is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Tiffany Apple and her daughters Kinsley and Haidyn, Krystle and Greg Pera and their children Pearl and Patton, Randy Goodman Jr., Ryan and Meredith Goodman and their children Marley and Range, Rachael Fulford and her daughter Colbie, and Joe Fulford Jr. Services will be Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210. Viewing from 9 to 11 a.m. Service will start at 11 a.m. A celebration at "The Barn" at Goodman's. Condolences at www.radzieta.com
