To the Editor:
In August 2021, NJ Governor Phil Murphy enacted E.O. 253 delivering vaccinate or test mandates to all NJ school employees. From its inception, the order was based on demonstrably false premise(s) through which Murphy attempted to coerce workers to submit under threat of career loss.
The main thesis outlined within the governor’s order was that safe and effective vaccination was required, for adults, to prevent the transmission of the Covid virus, which was said to be causing an increasing number of cases while transforming into various strains. The governor asserted that vaccines were not yet available for school-age children, so they were not subject to the mandates. The only alternative offered to school employees who were reluctant to take a new vaccine(s) was weekly testing.
The inconvenient truth was that when Governor Murphy issued his directive, the vaccine(s) were already shown not to stop transmission or infection in adults or children; they were not effective. Pfizer’s own safety data showed that near 1 in 800 test subjects suffered severe reaction to the vaccine during their one-month safety trial; they were not safe. Additionally, vaccines were already being recommended for and used to inoculate NJ minors and children in August 2021; they were available to students. To add insult to injury, the creator of PCR testing, 1993 Nobel Prize in Chemistry Lauriat Dr. Kary Mullis, had publicly denounced the use of the process in diagnostic medicine as it gave extremely high false positive results; testing was useless.
While NJ residents were locked in their homes, lost their businesses, could not attend religious services or bury their loved ones, the governor and other self-identified elites appeared to attend at least one maskless event and congregated in tight-quartered protest marches.
Fortunately, in 2024, thanks to the exposure of mass censorship and the persistence of real scientists worldwide, the truth is no longer being denied. With the slow and reluctant admission(s) from all levels of government, few deny the lies, propaganda and rights violations that provoked the litany of harms to the forgotten people of NJ.
No longer having cover, the abusers and propagandists now suggest they be given amnesty. In publications such as The Atlantic Magazine, as well as in interviews with the likes of comedian Bill Maher, apologists explain they simply made mistakes and should be given a pass. Glossing over the carnage of lives lost, unwanted chemical injections and excess death, the education of our children, lost relationships with family and friends, businesses, careers, pensions, health insurance – it is suggested everyone should just move on.
In their defense, I don’t believe anyone can deny the extreme and constant propaganda that was forced upon us all. People we once respected and who we thought we could trust told us information that made us fear for our lives and the lives of our families. History has shown that in times of crisis, people will do things against self-interest to feel safe. This axiom, after all, is what was used against everyone.
As someone who refused to submit to Governor Murphy’s coercion and lost his career as a result of E.O. 253, I sincerely consider forgiveness. However, reconciliation is more than saying I’m sorry. True sorrow not only requires sincere repentance, but also action to correct the harm created.
Until those responsible take the necessary steps to make their neighbors, friends, and/or family whole again, the words they speak are empty and they are undeserving of forgiveness.
