FORD, KENNETH TERENCE

FORD,
KENNETH TERENCE
Kenneth Terence Ford, 86, of Wildwood Crest passed away in his home on December 8th while surrounded by his beloved wife Sonia and his children. He was born on January 14, 1938, in Yonkers, NY to his late parents John and Marcella (Eustice) Ford.
After graduating from Nutley High School, Ken began working at Grace Chemical in Clifton and then he joined Mobil Corporation in Edison, as an engineer, where he met his wife Sonia and worked for 30 years before retiring.
Ken was immensely proud of his Irish heritage and loved spending time on the beach and bodysurfing in the ocean where the water is always like 'an Irish bath'. He loved the beach so much that upon retirement, Ken and Sonia moved to Wildwood Crest to become full time residents in God's Country.
Ken was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching football and NJ Devils hockey. He was a member of the 4H club in his youth and maintained his joy of gardening throughout his life. He was also involved within his community. He served as President of the Ocean Place Condominium Society, was an active parish member of the Assumption Catholic Church and volunteered at Lazarus House.
He is survived by his two sisters Regina Cook and Marcella Ford, daughter Susan and her husband Mark Finocchio, daughter Kerry and her husband James Demgard, son Terence and his wife Karen Ford, son Kevin and his wife Michelle Ford, son Kenneth and his wife Isabella Ford, and his nine grandchildren Connor Finocchio and his wife Max, Emily Finocchio, Ryan Demgard, Molly Demgard and her fiancée Dan Makarevich, Hannah Ford, Erin Ford, Sean Ford, Brady Ford, and Sophia Ford.
A funeral mass will be held at Assumption Roman Catholic Church, 7100 Seaview Avenue in Wildwood Crest on Wednesay December 11th at 11AM. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 10:45 on 11 December at Assumption Roman Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lazarus House (lazarushouseministries.org/donate) or St. Jude (www.stjude.org) would be greatly appreciated.
