FLUHARTY, THOMAS L. Thomas L. Fluharty, 78 of North Fort Myers, FL & Wildwood Crest, NJ passed away on December 21st with his family and beloved wife by his side. Tom was born on December 16, 1945 to William & Mae Fluharty, in Media Pa. He graduated from Media High School and went on to serve in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. After his time in the Navy, Tom pursued his degree in Business at St Joe's University and Penn State. He moved to the Jersey shore with his family where he enjoyed a career in Real Estate and bar tending, which lent well to Tom's outgoing personality. In 1993, Tom met his wife Kathy. Together they built a blended family and special legacy with their 4 children, 9 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. Tom was an avid golfer and fisherman. He also enjoyed woodwork and left many pieces with the family to enjoy for years to come.Tom was predeceased by his father William Fluharty, mother Mae Fluharty, sister Marie Fluharty Desmond, brother Jimmy Fluharty, and brother in law Des. He is survived by his wife Kathy Fluharty, brother Joe Fluharty (Jean), son Tom Fluharty (Jill), daughter Maggie Burke (Jason), daughter Natalie Jackson (Tommy), son Bob Kroken-berger(Elizabeth),daughter-in-law Karen Krokenberger, grandchildren, Emily, Brittany, Ashley, David, Madison, Zachary, Mae, Matthew, Nathan, his very best friend Kenny Roberts along with his 4 great grand-children and several nieces and nephews who he held close to his heart. Services will be held at Assumption Catholic Church on January 20th, visitation is at 10 am and the service will begin at 11 am. There will be a luncheon after the service and details will be provided at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Vietnam Veterans Association.
