COURT HOUSE ‐ Shore Orthopaedic University Associates is pleased to announce that Edward J. Armbruster, DO, MBA has joined the practice.
Dr. Ed Armbruster is a board‐certified orthopedic surgeon with advanced specialty training in hand, upper extremity, and microvascular surgery. He specializes in the non‐operative and surgical care of hand, wrist, and elbow conditions in children and adults.
Dr. Armbruster completed his internship and residency in orthopedic surgery training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – now called Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine. He then served at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, New Jersey, for Level I orthopedic trauma care and at AI duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Delaware for pediatric orthopedic care.
He completed advanced fellowship training at Rutgers University, New Jersey Medical School in hand, upper extremity, and microvascular surgery. He has also earned a Certificate of Added Qualification in Surgery of the Hand.
In November of 2022, Dr. Armbruster was elected President of the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics. The AOAO is the representative body for all Osteopathic (DO) orthopedic surgeons in the United States.
He started practice in Bucks County in 2008 and soon expanded into Mercer County, having served those areas for 15 years.
Dr. Armbruster was born in Atlantic City and grew up in Linwood. He attended Holy Spirit High School and worked as a Lifeguard on the Longport Beach Patrol.
