ERVIN, JR., JOSEPH M.
Joseph M. Ervin, Jr., 83, of Ephrata, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at home.
He was born in Philadelphia to the late Joseph and Mary (Wallin) Ervin and was the husband of Margaret D. (Devaney) Ervin.
He was a member of Our Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Ephrata. Joseph was a proud graduate of Saint Joseph's University and an active Rotarian. He owned a successful plumbing and heating business in Delaware County for decades. In his free time, he enjoyed cooking, Philly sports, and was a history buff. He played softball for many years.
In addition to his wife, Joseph is survived by four children, Joseph M. Ervin III, husband of Darlene Ervin, Christopher J. Ervin, Stephanie E. Scheifley, wife of James Scheifley, Andrew Charles Ervin, husband of Elivi Varga; two grand-children, Alex Ervin and John Leonardo, fiancé of Kathryn Mazeski; three step-grandchildren, Leonard Giordano, Emma Giordano, and Logan Scheifley; three step-great-grandchildren; three siblings, Kathleen Komar, Marie Flick, wife of Bill Flick and Raymond Ervin, husband of Cheryl Ervin.
A visitation will be held on Monday, November 11, 2024, from 10:30 to 11 AM, at Our Mother of Perpetual Help, 320 Church Ave, Ephrata, PA 17522, followed by a mass of Christian Burial, at 11 AM, at the church, with friend of the family Rev. Charles Sullivan as Celebrant. Finale Commendation and Farewell will take place in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Joseph's memory may be made to Our Mother of Perpetual Help or Saint Joseph's University, 5600 City Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19131.
