D'AMICO, JANICE
Janice D'Amico, age 87, of Cape May Court House, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 24, 2024, in Newnan, Georgia.
Janice was born in Philadelphia to the late May and Albert Bailey and was a longtime resident of Wildwood until moving to Cape May Court House in 1962.
After graduating from high school in 1954, she was employed by the City of Wildwood in the Tax Assessor's Office. After moving to Cape May Court House, she was employed for 23 years by Dr. Heath Bumgardner and Dr. Lawrence Macatee, where she made many friends. She later worked for the Cape May County Fire Marshal for 22 years until she retired.
Janice was a member of the Wildwood Junior Civic Club and the Wildwood Jaycee-ettes. She was one of the original organizers of the first Band Booster Association at Middle Township High School. She enjoyed traveling and chaperoning her daughters who were all members of the band. She loved cooking and baking for family, neighbors and friends and especially loved spending time with and walking her dog Lucky.
Janice was predeceased by her beloved husband of 34 years, John D'Amico, her daughter Robin Allene Jacobs, her sisters Delores Perez, Pat Sarfert, and Shirley Dadura. She is survived by her daughters Donna Torroni (Steve), Beth Poole (Nick), Theresa Grant (Ed), Mary D'Amico, and sons John D'Amico, Mark D'Amico (Lisa), Chris D'Amico (Lisa) and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend services for Janice D'Amico on Friday, September 13, 2024 at Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210. Calling hours will begin at 10:00am, followed by a memorial service at 11:00am.
