A 36-year-old Middle Township man has been arrested and charged with drug distribution, authorities said.
Robert Seney, a resident of West Atlantic Avenue in the Cape May Court House section of Middle
Township, was arrested after search warrants were carried out at his residence and vehicle, according to a release by Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey H. Sutherland and Chief Tracey Super of the Middle Township Police Department.
The release said the Prosecutor’s Office’s Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Task Force, along with the Drug Enforcement Administration, Middle Township Police Department-Major Crimes Unit and Cape May County Regional SWAT Team, executed the warrants on June 18.
As a result of the searches, methamphetamine in an amount less than one-half ounce, various types of
drug paraphernalia related to the distribution of controlled dangerous substances and 45ACP-caliber ammunition were seized.
Seney was charged with one count of possession with intent to distribute CDS, a crime
of the third degree; one count of possession of CDS, a crime of the third degree; one count of
possession with intent to distribute drug paraphernalia, a crime of the fourth degree; one count of a
certain person not to possess ammunition, a crime of the fourth degree; one count of distribution of
CDS within a school zone, a crime of the third degree, and one count of distribution of CDS within
500 feet of a public place, a crime of the second degree.
He was lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center pending court proceedings.
Individuals convicted of second-degree crimes are subject to a prison term of 5 to 10
years.
