Obituary

CORINO-HOLTON, DOREEN

CORINO-HOLTON, DOREEN Doreen Corino-Holton age 68. Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and life partner passed away suddenly on February 14th, 2024 from surgical complications. Her family and friends have been devastated by her loss. Doreen was a life-long resident of Wildwood Crest, New Jersey and had just recently retired and moved to The Legacy in Rio Grande. Doreen graduated from Wildwood High School in 1973. She followed her sister to Villanova University and graduated in 1977. She pursued her passion for law and obtained her Juris Doctorate from Delaware Law School Widener University in less than 3 years and graduated in 1979. She began the practice of law in her home town and carried on the family practice of Corino Law for over 40 years. Doreen was the definition of small but mighty! She was a force to be reckoned with and was acknowledged by her peers for her exceptional legal mind and expertise, especially in the areas of family and real estate law. She loved her legal career and was very proud to have been the solicitor for Wildwood Crest for over 12 years. Doreen was also a long-standing member of the Cape May County Bar Association. Without a doubt, Doreen would tell you that her greatest joy in life was her son John and her precious granddaughters, Evangelina and Olivia. Their world was her world. Doreen traveled all over the Eastern seaboard to watch John play soccer when he was in high school and traveled frequently to visit John at Catholic University, where they enjoyed many outings. She loved spending as much time with her granddaughters as possible, especially in the summer when they could all enjoy the pool, going to the playgrounds, beach and just being together. We are all heartbroken that she did not have more time with them. One of Doreen's favorite places to travel to was Aruba. It truly was her "happy place" and she went there annually for over 20 years. She so enjoyed sharing her time there with family and friends. Doreen is survived by her son John Warren Holton, her beloved daughter-in-law Rini Holton, her granddaughters Evangelina and Olivia, and granddog Zippy. She is also survived by her sister and best friend in life, Corinne Robinson and her brother-in-law Lee, who was truly the brother she never had. Doreen and Corinne were as close as two sisters could be and her passing has left a hole in her heart that will never be complete again. Also mourning her passing is her loving partner and companion of over 20 years, Rich Arriviello. They so enjoyed their many trips and dinner outings with family and friends over the years and just finally relaxing in their retirement home. Doreen is also survived by Rich's children: Lisa and Mark Sanders, Kristine and Jason Bilderback, Nicole and Sal Lopresti, Dr. Richard and Cheryl Arriviello. In addition, she is survived by her cousins Rosemarie Fruci, Joey (Gail) Major and John (Toni) Kill. Doreen is predeceased by her parents John and Josephine Corino, who she continued to miss every day and is at last reunited with them. And lastly, her beloved fur baby Bogey. Funeral services will be held at The Church of the Assumption, 7100 Seaview Avenue, Wildwood Crest on Friday, February 23rd. Viewing will be from 10AM-11:45AM with funeral mass to follow at 12 Noon. Burial will be private at a later date. Arrangements by Ingersoll-Greenwood Funeral Home. Doreen was a long-time supporter of St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital and donations may be made in her memory. Address is 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis Tennessee 38105 or via their website www.stjude.org. "In the hearts of those who loved you, you will always be there."
