Woodbine Lists Holiday Parade Winners

WOODBINE – Mayor William Pikolycky congratulated the trophy winners from Woodbine’s Dec. 8, holiday parade and thanked all participants, organizers, and all those others who made the parade possible.
According to a release, following Santa and Pikolycky lighting the tree, the gazebo lights, and the park-like pavilion area, the public went to the Public Safety Building for cookies and hot chocolate, and a visit with Santa as well as awarding of trophies.
Trophies recipients:
First place, “Best decorated fire/rescue apparatus” – Dennisville Fire Dept.
Second place, Leesburg Fire Dept.
First place – “Best Marching Unit” – Woodbine Elementary School Band
Second place, Woodbine Boys and Girls Scouts Troop 77
“I thank everyone who participated in this year’s parade and welcome our new participants. I also again extend our thanks to the Woodbine Recreation Commission for taking on the responsibilities for this year’s event ” noted Pikolycky. “Included this year was the first appearance of Woodbine’s newly delivered firetruck.”
