Woodbine Hosts Health and Wellness Fair

WOODBINE – “I am pleased to report that the Fair was a well-attended success and look forward to making this into an annual event,” noted Mayor Pikolycky, thanking all participants at the Borough April 4 Health & Wellness Fair. 
The Fair was co-sponsored by the Borough of Woodbine Wellness Program, the Parish Nurse Program, Cape Regional Medical Center, and the Cape May County RSVP Program.
Mayors Recognition Day for National Service was commemorated with the reading of a Proclamation honoring Woodbine’s senior volunteers.
Woodbine Municipal Alliance also kicked-off Alcohol Awareness Month at the event.
Participants included: AARP Chapter #5292, Woodbine Municipal Alliance, Patti Combs Therapeutic Massage, The Sam Azeez Museum of Woodbine Heritage, Complete Care, Mouse Trap Bowling Lanes, Michelle’s Country Dog Suds, Dr. Robyn Amerman from Santoro  Chiropractic, Linwood; Braycees Orthodontics; NJFoster Grandparents, Cumberland County Department of Health, The Atlantic County Joint Insurance Fund, and the New Jersey State Police.
Free screenings for blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar were provided.
The Cumberland County Department of Health provided free lead testing.
The New Jersey State Police, Woodbine Barracks, held a “Project Medicine Drop” during the event.
“It was to see such a nice turnout from both Woodbine and our surrounding communities and adjoining counties, both as to vendors and those taking advantage of the event,” added Mayor Pikolycky.
