No registration required for this program and there is no fee.
Gardening with native plants has enjoyed a growing increase in popularity as proven by the topics of several recent library “Gardening with Joe” programs. Natural decorations have been a tradition for many years. Come join us and discover the joy of decorating with nature. Discover nature’s bounty and learn how to create a work of holiday art.

Presenter Joe Alvarez has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology/Environmental Science, is a Board Member of the Friends of Cape May National Wildlife Refuge, a founding member of the Cape May County Beach Plum Association, and is active in many county and agricultural programs in South Jersey, and a frequent presenter at County Library programs on a wide range of gardening topics.
“We are delighted by this annual holiday tradition at our local branch. Those who have participated in past demonstrations join us in urging everyone to attend this conveniently  located and timely opportunity to learn new twists to this sustainably green way of decorating for the winter holidays, along with our Cape May County’s own “Mike McGrath” of the garden, the ever delightful Joe Alvarez,” rejoined Mayor Pikolycky.
(Participants who are further interested should be aware that there will also be a hands-on workshop on the same theme–which does requires registration and a small fee– scheduled from 1 to 3 Dec. 7 at the Sea Isle City Library. For more information and to register for this workshop, please call 463-6386 or visit www.cmclibrary.org). Materials will be provided for the Dec. 7 workshop, but feel free to bring some of your favorite dried or fresh cut plants and start a new tradition with your family this holiday season.)
