Woodbien Library to Host Three-Session Knitting Workshop

WOODBINE – The Cape May County Library will be holding a three-session “beginners” knitting class at the Woodbine Branch, located at 800 Monroe Street, Woodbine, on Saturdays Sept. 10, Sept. 17,  and Sept. 24 from 10 am to noon.
The presenter will be Debbie West.
In this “beginners” class, you will learn the basic knitting stitch along with ‘Yarn Over’ and ‘Knit 2’ together stitches. These stitches are needed to accomplish the finish product of a dishcloth you will make and take home with you.
All participants required to bring a pair of size 9 knitting needles and a 100% ball of cotton yarn of their color choice (Sugar and Cream brand is suggested).

For Debbie West, crafts have always fascinated her, especially creating and producing actual items to use and wear. She has been working with yarn and sewing since she was a child with her grandmother. A resident of Cape May County for 14 years, she is retired from nursing. She enjoys sharing her knowledge with others and has been teaching for 20 years, as well as, promoting her items at local bazaars.
“This will be an enjoyable and useful learning experience for all those who attend,” noted Mayor Pikolycky.
