By Press Release

CAPE MAY — The April meeting and presentation for the Women’s Community Club of Cape May will be on “reTURN the Favor.” This presentation is given by a presenter from the Wetlands Institute on horseshoe crabs. Those that attend will be enlightened by the information about keeping the horseshoe crabs safer on our beaches. The presentation will be held April 20, 2017 at Price Hall (Academy Road). Light refreshments will be served at 12:30 p.m. and the meeting is at 1:00 p.m.
The Women’s Community Club of Cape May is affiliated with the New Jersey State Federation of Women’s Clubs and is a registered 501 c-3 non-profit organization. We continue to support our local community with scholarship money and donations, and also contribute to national organizations. Currently the club has many opportunities for women to be involved in local, state, and world-wide projects. Arts Creative, Arts Performing, International Outreach, Conservation and Education are some of the community service programs. Members have been very successful when participating in state achievement events that include art, photography, baking and various crafts. Judging the Cape May Baby Parade, participating in Beach Sweeps, supporting our local fire companies are a few of our local projects. We welcome speakers and have programs at our meetings that keep us aware of community and district news.
Meetings are held on the third Thurs. of the month from Sept. to June. Any woman in the area who would like more information about attending a meeting or becoming a member may call 609-884-4626.
