Winter Coat Project in Full Swing

By Press Release

Members of the Christ Child Society of Cape May County are pictured delivering coats to Michelle Obst, RN, school nurse at the Douglas Veterans Memorial School in Lower Township. Pictured above from left to right are Christ Child members Maureen Kolakowski of Cape May, Joy Brzoska of Cape May Beach, and Kay Tombleson of North Wildwood, and school nurse, Michelle Obst, with her student helpers in the front row, Giulia, Kallen, and Sanaa.
Purchasing and delivering new winter coats to local schools and agencies for children in need has been a mission of the Christ Child Society for many years, but the recent storm and cold weather has prompted an even greater demand this year. Last year 340 coats were distributed and the money required to purchase these items comes only from fundraising events of the organization and financial donations.
The Christ Child Society is a 501C-3 non-profit all volunteer organization that provides help to children in our community through schools and agencies. Financial donations are gratefully accepted and checks made payable to the Christ Child Society can be mailed to P.O. Box 882, North Cape May, NJ 08204. For more information, call 609-602-7682.
