COURT HOUSE – The Cape May County 4-H Youth Development Program congratulates the winners of its 2014 4-H Equestrian of the Year Contest. Andrea Armstrong, center, was selected by a panel of judges as the Senior Equestrian of the Year. Armstrong is an active member of 4-H, including the 4-H Teen Ambassadors and the Wranglers, Kitchen Phanatics and Needle & Thread 4-H Clubs. Rachel Coulter, left, was the First Runner Up. Coulter participates in the Wranglers 4-H Club. Rebecca Thompson, right, won the Second Runner Up title. She is active in the Shore Blazers 4-H Club and the 4-H Teen Ambassadors. The 4-H youth are judged in three categories: resume, personal interview and stage presentation.
The 2014 Junior Equestrian of the Year title was awarded to Andrew Heim. Andrew is a member of the Shore Blazers 4-H Club. This year’s title bearers will represent 4-H at events around the county and state and at the 2014 Cape May County 4-H Fair to be held July 17, 18 and 19 at the 4-H Fairgrounds in Cape May Court House.
