By Press Release

WILDWOOD The weather is starting to warm up, and so is the excitement for spring and outdoor Easter fun in the Wildwoods. The Wildwoods are celebrating Easter weekend filled with fun family events April 15 and April 16.
April 15, families can choose from two separate Easter egg hunts – both starting at noon. Children 11 and under can hunt for eggs and gather candy and prizes during the Elks Annual Easter Egg Hunt, on the beach in North Wildwood at 19th Avenue. Just a few blocks down on the beach at Lincoln Avenue in Wildwood, children 12 and under can participate in the Greater Wildwood Jaycees Easter Egg Hunt for eggs containing toys by digging in the sand to find them. There will also be “golden eggs” which will contain a bigger prize. The rain date for the Greater Wildwood Jaycees Easter Egg Hunt is April 16.
On Easter, April 16, on the boardwalk at 23rd Avenue, Ed’s Funcade Easter Egg Hunt in the Hay will take place from noon – 1:30 p.m. Children under 12 can hunt for eggs and the chance to win great prizes.
Also on Easter Sunday, Morey’s Piers hosts its Opening Day Easter Celebration from noon – 5 p.m. This event kicks off the spring season in the Wildwoods and is sure to bring out the kid in everyone. Boardwalk eateries, shops, games and arcades will be open for a full weekend of fun with rides, food, and entertainment including strolling stilt walkers and jugglers, face painting, and pictures with the Easter Bunny at the Parent’s Pavilion on Morey’s Mariner’s Landing Pier at Schellenger Avenue and the Boardwalk. Children 12 and under can also pick an egg for a chance to win great prizes.
Easter weekend is also a great time to “scout out” your summer vacation rental – plenty of great accommodations are still available for your summer stay, so this is the perfect time to solidify your Wildwoods vacation plans for the summer.
