WILDWOOD – With identity theft becoming a serious concern throughout the United States, disposing of documents that carry personal information is a vital step in protecting yourself from the prying eyes of thieves.
April 20, residents and property owners in the City of Wildwood will be able to bring documents containing private information to City Hall for free, confidential disposal by shredding.
“The city is offering this service to help protect its citizens,” said Mayor Ernie Troiano. “Identity theft is a problem that continues to grow throughout the United States. By having a shredding day, we’re hoping to take a proactive stance in making sure personal information remains unseen by criminals.”
Wildwood’s shredding day will take place Apr. 20 from 8:30 a.m. until noon on the Davis Avenue side of City Hall, 4400 New Jersey Avenue. The service is free.
“Last year’s shredding day was a huge success,” said the mayor. “We are happy to once again offer our residents a highly secure unit that will shred their confidential documents. We hope everyone will take advantage of this opportunity.”
