Whitesboro Reunion Festival Slated

By Press Release

WHITESBORO – One of Middle Township’s largest events of the year will be held Aug. 31 and Sept. 1. The Concerned Citizens of Whitesboro, Inc. will celebrate a quarter century of service to its community by hosting the 25th Annual Whitesboro Reunion Festival. The festival will take place both days at the Martin Luther King Community Center located at 207 North Main Street in Whitesboro, Middle Township.
“Every year, this festival is a celebration of a very important community to our entire township”, said Middle Township Deputy Mayor Tim Donohue. “Like every community, Whitesboro is a special place because of its families. The township is thrilled that this festival occurs every year and provides an excellent opportunity for neighbors to meet neighbors and celebrate the culture and history of Whitesboro”.
The marketplace at the Whitesboro Reunion Festival opens to the public both days at 10:00 a.m., with no admission charge. The festival will host celebrity speakers and entertainment on Saturday and Sunday beginning at 1:00 p.m. The entertainment lineup includes Whitesboro’s own Tap Sensation, Karen Callaway Williams, and American blues by Frank Bey and the Swing City Jazz Band.
A highlight of the festival will be the 25th Anniversary Dance held inside the Martin Luther King Center on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 in advance, and $30 at the door. The theme of this year’s dance will be “Flashback to the 70s” with live music by Chelsea Green and the Green Project and GBand. Attendees are encouraged to dress in attire from the 1970’s and enter contests including “Best Dressed” and “Best Dance”.
